Unit of Inquiry
- Students inquired into food chains/food webs and researched the food chains/food webs in their biome.
- Presentation on biomes by the students which was uploaded on seesaw.
- Students made a poster on food chain/ food web in their biome.
- Students inquired into different symbiotic relationships and used i-Pad to research about relationships in their chosen biome.
- Integration with Language Arts: Book- 'Cactus Hotel' was read to the students. Students used De Bono's hat to reflect their understanding.
Language Arts
- Students wrote their first draft ( Report writing).
- Mini lesson on capitalization and different types of sentences (simple,compound, complex).
- Integration with UOI: Students wrote their second draft on biotic and abiotic components in their biome.
- Reading non fiction text and reflection on it.
- Literature Circle.
